Nouvel elevates casual contemporary style to a fresh new level with sophisticated touches such as a rich russet-colored Cerused Amber finish, beveled tops with clipped corners and recessed Brushed Brass hardware. With the subtle influence of 19th Century British Campaign design, Nouvel takes on character and classic appeal, while being a perfect fit for soft modern interiors. Distinctive elements of style include a tempered beveled-glass insert on the wood top of the Bachelors Chest, canted posts on the cases, clipped corners on the Portrait Mirror and recessed drawer fronts with a shadow-box effect on the case pieces. The Panel Bed has a storage footboard option with two drawers and a slat roll. Nouvel will help you achieve a fresh, modern interior rooted in classic design.
Since 1931, the Magnussen Home family has been committed to blending the fine qualities that they value in life into the fine furniture that they offer our customers. Integrity. Ingenuity. Style. Dedication. The people at Magnussen Home take pride in their company and in the furniture they produce.
Ingwer Magnussen founded the company in 1931, in the town of Kitchener, Ontario. A cabinetmaker by trade and a craftsman and businessman at heart, Ingwer took the bold step of starting his own company when he was unable to find work during the Great Depression. Serving Canadian upholstery manufacturers, he created beautiful, intricately carved show wood for sofa frames, earning a reputation that allowed his young business to grow into a good-sized company. Over the years, Magnussen Home has continued to grow, expanding to become a global enterprise. Yet, they have maintained the core principles of a family-run business - trust, honesty and respect - as the foundation of success of Magnussen Home.
